March Wellness Challenge

We have designed, with help from Highmark BCBS, a total of nine mini challenges that will take place over the first quarter (January, February and March) of 2022. Everyone’s wellness journey looks different, so we have three different challenges each month you may choose from – one focusing on nutrition, one focusing on physical health and one focusing on stress/mental health. These challenges are all optional, however we encourage every employee to participate! Anyone who participates and meets the challenge requirements will be entered in to win a gift card! If you choose to participate please choose one of the three challenges offered. When you complete your calendar (page 2 of each challenge attachment) email it to the Wellness Committee at [email protected].

Please note: These challenges should be done outside of work hours, unless they can be done on a break or during lunch.

We understand everyone cannot commit to doing something every single day, so we have three tiers available to better fit individual needs and goals. Each month, a total of three participants will be chosen at random to win a $10 gift card, two to win a $25 gift card and one to win a $50 gift card.

March’s Challenges:

Thrive With Five

Eat 5 servings of fruits and/or veggies per day for 10 days to be entered in for a chance to win a $10 gift card

Eat 5 servings of fruits and/or veggies per day for 20 days to be entered in for a chance to win a $25 gift card

Eat 5 servings of fruits and/or veggies per day for 31 days to be entered in for a chance to win a $50 gift card

Stair Climber

Conquer 10 flights of stairs per day for 10 days to be entered in for a chance to win a $10 gift card

Conquer 10 flights of stairs per day for 20 days to be entered in for a chance to win a $25 gift card

Conquer 10 flights of stairs per day for 31 days to be entered in for a chance to win a $50 gift card

Unplug It

Cut out cellphone, computer or TV usage 1 hour before bed each day for 10 days to be entered in for a chance to win a $10 gift card

Cut out cellphone, computer or TV usage 1 hour before bed each day for 20 days to be entered in for a chance to win a $25 gift card

Cut out cellphone, computer or TV usage 1 hour before bed each day for 31 days to be entered in for a chance to win a $50 gift card

Each month you will have the option to choose between a “standard” option or that month’s “feature” option for a chance to win a $10 gift card. The standard option will change each month and the feature option will be something that relates to the theme of that month.

For the month of March, the standard option is to go 1 day with no social media. How do you feel stepping away for a day? Let us know by emailing the Wellness Committee or post in the Wellness Community Group! March’s feature option is to post one of your favorite healthy recipes in the Wellness group in Community.
