Senior Collections Representative

Our professional collection representatives work on behalf of some of the largest and most well-known companies in social media, technology, and manufacturing to collect on past due accounts. Collectors at ABC apply independent judgment to handle all aspects of the collection process for clients who have customers in the US, Canada and throughout the world. By using our proprietary software system, ABC-Collect, and a combination of telephone calls, emails, letters and faxes, you’ll be responsible for corresponding with both our clients and their past-due customers to manage accounts at all stages of the collections process. This includes making demand for payment on delinquent accounts, drafting letters to clients, their past-due customers and attorneys, as well as making recommendations to clients for settlements and payment plans, while maintaining detailed records of all collection activity.
In this business-to-business environment, you never call anyone about their personal debt – no credit card debt, medical bills, or student loans. We only call businesses that have past due invoices with our clients.
- 7-10 years’ collections experience, preferably in a business-to-business environment
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, client database management experience, and internet search acumen
- Strong work ethic with the ability to function independently
- Attention to detail, time management and multitasking capabilities
Ideal candidates will also have excellent B2B interpersonal skills, including telephone etiquette, demonstrated through previous customer service and collections work experience.
