We wanted to improve the way we approached our credit and collection decisions.
It made sense to look for a resource that could provide us with credit information from media entities similar to our own, rather than the generic reports we were currently using.
Through the NYMCG member-driven database, we now have access to the credit and collection experience of other credit professionals in the media industry. Sharing information among media peers has assisted us in achieving our goal of making better informed and experienced-based credit management decisions.
In addition to the quantitative and anecdotal information available to NYMCG members, group meetings always provide beneficial and useful information. Whether it’s sharing credit experience with group members, learning from interesting and informative speakers, or networking with colleagues in the media industry, NYMCG membership has enhanced our knowledge of the industry and provided a network of professionals with which to discuss common issues.
Over the last 25 years, I’ve gained most of my knowledge of the media industry from attending the NYMCG meetings. NYMCG membership has proven to be a valuable and indispensable resource, not only in terms of obtaining a wealth of knowledge and experience, but also in developing close relationships with my fellow credit professionals.
