William Bastiaan Named Managing Director of Switzerland Subsidiary
BUFFALO, NY – The ABC Companies, Inc., parent of ABC-Amega Inc., a commercial receivable management firm headquartered in Buffalo, NY since 1929, announces the launch of its new European office. The office, located in Nyon, Switzerland, about 15 miles from Geneva, will serve as the company's base for its European operations.
"As a company with a global outlook, it's time to add Europe to our base of offices. We've serviced clients and built relationships in the region for a number of years. Establishing a European entity is an important new step in providing the quality client service and satisfaction that is the cornerstone of our global success," said ABC-Amega CEO, David I. Herer.
The Switzerland office will complement the firm's strong presence in the US and Asia. Its centralized location will allow it to service the whole of Europe, as well as the Middle East and Africa.
To head up the corporation in Nyon, ABC-Amega has named William F.M.J. Bastiaan, CICE, managing director of European operations.
Serving as the primary field interface with clients and prospects in Europe, Mr. Bastiaan will assume responsibility for marketing ABC-Amega's collection and receivable management services in that international sector.
Mr. Bastiaan is the current chairman of FCIB, a prestigious association of U.S. and European executives in finance, credit and international business. He is the first European to be selected as chairman. FCIB has been serving the export business community for 80 years, providing products and services to major multinational corporations, as well as enabling international professionals to achieve business objectives and professional growth.
Currently based in The Netherlands, Mr. Bastiaan comes to ABC-Amega from Credit Management Solutions & Services, where he served as managing director. His experience also includes more than twenty years of service with DSM, a global chemical firm, where he held the positions of Credit Department Manager and Global Credit Risk Manager.
Fluent in several languages including Dutch, German and English, Mr. Bastiaan has published articles in trade journals and credit magazines, in addition to participating in international forums and conferences. He also holds the designation of Certified International Credit Executive (CICE).
"As managing director of European operations, I look forward to the challenge of expanding ABC-Amega's receivable management services globally. The company's commitment to quality, service, satisfaction and flexibility are representative of the values that I personally hold important in building and maintaining sound, mutually beneficial business relationships," said Bastiaan.
"Europe has developed into an important market for ABC-Amega's receivable management services. We are fortunate to have an experienced and principled professional such as William join us to head up our efforts in that region," added Herer.
